Cypress Lakes Preserve

The Preserve’s 331 acres present amazing biological diversity with eight natural plant communities ranging from very dry to wet. Trails (including a portion of the Florida National Scenic Trail) wind through scrub, sandhill, live oak hammocks, and bottomland hardwoods, and along grassy ponds, cypress-ringed lakes and cypress swamps. Interesting geological features include limestone rock outcrops and intermittently flooded sinkholes. The Preserve is open to the public during daylight hours but is still under development.
