Legislative Update on the Status of Florida Forever for the 2010-2011 Fiscal Year

The Florida Legislature has allocated $3.15 million in Florida Forever funds to the Florida Communities Trust Parks and Open Space Program for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. Florida Communities Trust will use the $3.15 million and apply it to the list of projects already scored and ranked from the 2008 Florida Forever grant application cycle, as there are several high-quality applications that have not yet received funding. Stan Mayfield Working Waterfronts Florida Forever Grant Program

Stan Mayfield Working Waterfronts Program Rule 9K-9, Florida Administrative Code

On February 3 and 4, 2010, a hearing at the Division of Administrative Hearing was held to consider the rule challenge filed on the Stan Mayfield Working Waterfronts Program Rule 9K-9, Florida Administrative Code. The Administrative Law Judge returned a ruling in favor of the Department of Community Affairs and the changes to Rule 9K-9 were adopted as originally submitted on May 16, 2010.
